There's another hotfix out: 975832 because VSS isn't correctly responding to the hardware provider reporting a failed snapshot in all cases leading to some disk operation restrictions.
Yes, it applies to Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and the R2 release as well.
It goes with 953531 and 950267 and 957522
Microsoft are really, REALLY going have to pull their fingers out of their testing asses if they expect Hyper-V to be the latest vehicle for global domination.
Alternatively we can just shut down the servers and take copies of all the VHDs and the RDM data it's pointing to.
